In the beginning
The Seed Smith concept was born in 2021 under Ironstone Ag’s predecessor, Marwonga Precision Farming Services. A client approached us wanting to know if they could have a John Deere Rate Controller working with their new Morris ICT air cart.
We said yes.

SeedSmith allows you to leverage the best features of the John Deere and Morris products without compromise. Prescription/variable rate maps run through your Gen4 display directly to the John Deere Rate Controller. No need to teach operators how to operate a Topcon system just for seeding. Transfer data directly between MyOperations and your seeder
WA built using high quality components
Our integration kit is a drop-in replacement for the factory optioned Topcon control system. Right here in WA we build an electronics cabinet with a John Deere Rate Controller 2000 and Bosch ECU fitted, fully braided heavy-duty harnesses, and in-cab display. The kit utilizes all original Topcon sensors, streamlining the installation process and backup parts availability.
Clever design
The system works by enhancing the capabilities of the John Deere Rate Controller 2000. A Bosch ECU is fitted and especially programmed to provide features that previously could only be offered by a Topcon system.
